Excerpt from "Let's Go Into the Kitchen"
David is dressed as a Templar Knight. ‘I like your outfit,’ I remark.
‘Thank you,’ says David, ‘Come on in, dinner is almost ready.’
David likes to cook and is very good at it.
He can make even the most boring of foods like a potato taste very nice.
After dinner David reads from a book.
There are other people at the dinner party too. We drink our wine and listen intently.
David reads out a paragraph which is quite shocking!
Everyone falls into silence and we all look at each other. No one says a word.
Suddenly everyone bursts out laughing because the paragraph was actually very funny indeed!
Now it is almost time for the game.
We put the music on.
Whilst we try and guess the names of the bands we also start to move to the music.
We make strange gestures and shapes with our bodies.
We also try to remember how we used to dance in the 1980’s.
But we are much older now and we sometimes forget these kinds of things.
So we just dance how we want to and we don’t care what anyone thinks because we are having fun.
